Description
Viburnum, Blackhaw 1-0 (viburnum prunifolium)
Zone 3-9
Partial sun / shade
Blackhaw viburnum is a large, shrub or a small tree in the muskroot family that matures at a slow rate to 15 feet tall and nearly as wide. In spring, new leaves emerge copper-colored followed by white, flat-topped flowers. In fall, black fruits contrast with the pinkish-red foliage. A great plant for naturalized areas. Blackhaw prefers full sun or partial shade and medium to dry moisture in well-drained soils.
